Description

@Sriramsachin-6369

I am facing an issue when chaining P10 RGB panels (1/4 scan, P10RGB-3535) using the PxMatrix library.

  • Working Setup: When using a single panel of 32x16or 64x16, the display works as expected.
  • Issue Occurs When Chaining:When I chain the panels to 32x32or 64x32, the displayed characters are split across the two panels.
    • The top half of the character appears on the first panel. and the bottom half appears on the second panel instead of displaying the full character correctly.

Hardware & Configuration Details

  • Microcontroller:ESP32
  • Panels Used:** P10 RGB-3535 (1/4 scan)
  • Library Used: PxMatrix
  • Display Configuration:
    • Single Panel (32x16 or 64x16)→ Works fine
    • **Chained (32x32 or 64x32) → Characters break into halves

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Connect two P10 panels (1/4 scan, P10RGB-3535) in a vertical chain to create a 32x32 or 64x32 display.
  2. Initialize the display using PxMatrix with the appropriate dimensions.
  3. Display any text or graphics.
  4. Observe that characters are split across panels.

Expected Behavior

  • The characters should display correctly across the chained panels, without breaking into halves.
    Observed Behavior
  • The characters appear split—the top half on the first panel and the bottom half on the second panel.

Troubleshooting Attempts

  • Tested different PxMatrix initialization parameters.
  • Verified the wiring and connections between the panels.
  • Experimented with different font sizes and alignment.
  • Tried adjusting scan and panel chaining settings, but the issue persists.

Request for Help
Could you please confirm if this is a library limitation or if I need to configure additional settings for proper panel chaining? Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciate.
