Hi, I would like to add a spectrometer control to the GUI (which allows to change grating and center wavelength). What would be the easiest way to do this ? Implementation as a plugin ?

Dear Tobias,

A plugin is certainly possible. However, the API for GUI control and interaction with the camera at the plugin level it's currently not documented, so it would be pretty hard to do implement. If you would consider writing a separate application, you can use the control server interface to control the camera (change settings, acquire frames, etc.) It might be an easier way, since you would have freedom to write your own GUI in the way you prefer, and use cam-control only for interfacing with the camera.
