Is it possible to delete a subscription using the Azure CLI even if the subscription still contains resources?

In the Azure Portal, a subscription cannot be deleted until all resources under it are manually removed. Is this same check also enforced when cancelling a subscription via the Azure CLI?

There doesn’t appear to be a direct az command to delete a subscription. How is subscription deletion actually handled through the CLI?

When a subscription is cancelled using the Azure CLI, how does the eventual deletion occur?

At what stage is the check performed to ensure that the subscription is free of resources before it can be permanently deleted?

What does the “experimental” tag mean on certain Azure CLI subscription-related commands?
