Multiple choice controls on "Ask a question" page -- screen reader accessibility

Hi, thanks all for a great support community and site.

I'm having problems using a screen reader (VoiceOver on Mac; tested with Safari and Firefox on the "Ask a question page (https://support.bioconductor.org/new/post/) .

I am not able to interact with and select the multiple choice items for "Post Type" and "Post Tags." These are required fields, which is understandable, but this makes it impossible to ask a question with a screen reader.

I'm sorry I don't have the web development experience to submit a PR.

Please let me know if this is the right place to report this issue.

Thanks for flagging this, Liz, and for the clear description. Lori, who maintains the support site, is currently on leave, but I’ll make sure this gets visibility. We're also exploring a move to Discourse, which may offer a more accessible experience.

I just checked and this problem still exists. It is a barrier to participation in this community and use of Bioconductor by people who use screen readers.
