Project seems to be abandoned.

I'm wondering is there is still a maintainer for this project? Based on the commits nothing really happened in the last 5 years. Did the project got moved, or forked somewhere?

Hi. Microsoft currently runs BitFunnel in production in the Bing search engine. Unfortunately, this repo is a fork of that codebase, and has not been able to take enhancements from the Bing version. The challenge was that we had to disentangle a bunch of other unrelated systems, internal to Bing, and this resulted in the hard fork.

As you can see from the commit history, the BitFunnel codebase is basically dormant. With that said, most of the original authors are still at Microsoft and there is a possibility that they would reengage if there was sufficient interest in the project.
