can't find the file

hi, after running the script, it tells me it can't find the file. I'he attatched a screenshot. Could you tell me why this is happening.
i have tested whith a single song and several localitations. I understand the problem is that it can't find the song location

crate 1 .txt

Hi,
I’m attaching the crate1 file and a test track. I first tried with my entire library (~4000 songs) and none were converted. Then I tested with a single track in a separate folder and a crate with only that track, and it still didn’t work.

I had to rename the crate file with the .txt extension in order to upload it. When you download it, please rename it back to .crate, so the final filename should be crate1.crate.

I’m using Windows 11 and Python 3.13.6.

I looked through serato2rekordbox.py and applied a small patch so crate entries without a drive letter still resolve to real files. Concretely I capture the drive of my Serato folder (e.g., G:), pass it into extract_file_paths_from_crate, and run every crate path through a helper called ensure_absolute_track_path()—it normalizes separators, keeps full paths untouched, and if the drive is missing it prepends the stored root before normalizing. With that in place, a crate entry like "mysong.mp3" quietly becomes G:\mysong.mp3, so Rekordbox stops complaining about missing tracks. I’m not sure if this is the “proper” approach, but it has worked for me.

• serato2rekordbox.py (lines 57-80) defines ensure_absolute_track_path(), which reattaches the detected drive root to any crate path lacking a drive/UNC prefix.

• serato2rekordbox.py (lines 249-305) updates extract_file_paths_from_crate() to accept default_root and run each decoded path through the helper before de-duplicating.

• serato2rekordbox.py (lines 321-429) records the Serato drive root once (serato_drive_root) and passes it to every crate read so both playlist building and track metadata extraction operate on the corrected absolute paths.
