The Lab TA will write "Queue" on the board and students sign up one after the other.
Lab Assistants (aka Academic Intern / AI) go down the list to ask students the lab checkoff questions. When the students answer the questions, the lab assistants fill out a google form. The google form collects the LA's email (automatically) as well as the student's email.
Later on, after all labs for the week are done, the Head of Support (for AIs) will verify the responses of the form. For example, he/she will check that, no student filled out the form for themselves (meaning AI email == student email)
Finally, the Head of Support will upload all of the scores for the checkoff to the corresponding okpy assignment so that students who complete the checkoff get credit for it.
This process can be automated using the current OH Queue. (Note: After we implement this change, we should no longer call it "OH Queue" but rather just "Queue". We would have queue.cs61a.org and/or q.cs61a.org)
Students would come in to lab, open a check-off ticket in Queue.
An AI would open the ticket, find the student, and ask them the check-off questions.
When the check-off is completed, the AI would mark "Complete Check-off". And that's it! No need to collect the student's email address every single time.
(Optional) The results of the checkoff would be uploaded to OKPY automatically, removing the need for the Head of Support to perform validation and manually upload emails.
