Complete tests of V3 transforms

I created an example test for one of the four V3 transforms as a part of issue #6. We need tests for all transforms and we may want to expand what is there.

Assinging this to @harrisonmeister since he will be the primary maintainer in the future and can figure out what sorts of tests are best.
