why are you using network socket for the usb btw? it looks like you're on macos and the default will work |

remove conn-type conn-addr and conn-port (from both) and see if that helps |

I removed the args and that doesn't change anything. The same error appears from both ends |

Maybe try Arch for the companion. Also, are you sure that you're running the patched idevicerestore? |
