[CleverSDK startWithClientId] <- where?

I'm calling [CleverSDK startWithClientId] in applicationDidFinishLaunching... 
1. is that the right place?
2. If I call it elsewhere, will it hurt anything? i.e. can I call it 'on demand' later in the workflow, rather than every time when the application finishes launching?
3. Related: if I call it more than once, is that bad?
