Hi

I have caal up and running on my setup but i'm having issues with the radarr_search_movies tool, this is the first n8n workflow i'm testing but i cant work out what is going wrong

When i ask caal do i have a film in my library, it will load the correct tool but i can see it failing in n8n. What i have noticed is when the tool is called i dont see any value

can also see it in the logs

any ideas what i've done wrong?

From your screenshots, it looks like the tool is being called but the LLM isn't sending the query parameter.

What LLM are you using?

To be honest, these workflows in the repo are early workflows. My latest ones have evolved a lot.

Good news: I'm about to release the Tool Registry which will allow installing tools right in the web interface, kind of like an app store. It includes an updated Radarr tool with proper input parsing and better documentation. Once released, all the tools in the n8n-workflows dir will be deprecated.

The registry should be out within the next week - you'll be able to install the improved version with one click.

Still curious what LLM you are using though.

I'm running Ollama inside docker with ministral-3:8b as the model

When looking at the transcript, i can see me asking for the films name and then caal will return saying no film of that name has been found, so it knows what the name of the film it should be searching for.

n8n also displays the error for node 2 "Extract Query", The query will also be blank

Sorry for the delay. I found the issue. There's a parsing issue in the "Extract Query" node. This is one of the early workflows that didn't account for different ways LLMs format parameters - ministral-3:8b is likely formatting the query differently than the code expects.

Would you like to test the new tool registry feature?
