As noted in the google sheet, we do have support:Childcare as part of the Support Services stuff. If child care (outside of the support service aspects) also needs to be described as part of financial assistance, is it covered by any of the existing concepts like financialAid:Stipend or financialAid:OtherGrant?

If not, then I'd start by coming up with a definition and then determining which existing concept the new one would be a sub-concept of. Perhaps something like "Financial aid intended to cover expenses related to the supervision, care, and activities for children in the absence of their parents or guardians." to both borrow from the support:Childcare definition and to align with other Financial Assistance concept definitions.

I'm not sure about this because other possible uses of financial assistance are not generally covered in ceterms:FinancialAssistance relate to sources (sometimes linked to eligibility) rather what the money can be used for. That said nothing in the description of the concept scheme ("Types of financial assistance typically available in the United States.") or the propery that it is used with ceterms:FinancialAssistanceProfile ("Type of financial assistance") are clear enough to exclude permitted uses.

So the proposal below is possible, but it might be better to add a new property for use with instances of ceterms:FinancialAssistanceProfile, say financialAssistanceFor (defined as "Permitted or expected use of the funds provided.") along with new concept scheme... (Any, Childcare, Subsistence, Special Hardship, Special Needs Accommodation, Tuition, Travel ...).

Alternatively, just put the fact that the funds are intended for childcare into the name/description of the FA Profile, which I guess is what is being done with travel grants or tuition loans currently.

@philbarker I see your point. The ceterms:FinancialAssistance Concept Scheme is the types of assistance not how the assistance can be applied. For example, a grant could allow for childcare. I don't think childcare financial assistance below with this Concept Scheme. We need a way to say whatever the type of assistance is applicable to but doesn't the Financial Assistance Profile do this? As you noted, there could be a profile for childcare. If we considered a property, financialAssistanceFor (defined as "Permitted or expected use of the funds provided), would it be added to the Financial Assistance Profile and would the range be lang string?

Could the range for this new property be the ceterms:CostType concept scheme, and we add these additional terms to it? These do seem like costs related to the completion of a credential, course, etc.
