loading log4javascript with npm

I just wanted to test the npm version of log4javascript: https://www.npmjs.com/package/log4javascript

As to me, the available version does not seem to work properly, I get locally the same issue as shown here:

Is there a chance to get rid of the window dependency for the log4javascript npm module?
