Getting channel name labeled by DAW

Hello everyone, I'm having trouble obtaining channel names. As we know, commercial plugins like FabFilter's Q4 can display EQ curves for multiple instances. And in its VST3 and CLAP version, it can show the track name for each EQ. Two Q4 plugins on the same track are distinguished by numbers. Is there a way to get the name of the track that has the plugin mounted? Thanks for your help!

There is no such concept in DPF at all right now. The first course of action would be to investigate how specific plugin formats do it, and try a first hacky implementation that works.

Thank you for your reply! By the way, I encountered some issues while trying to implement sidechain compression. I noticed that there are some references to sidechains within DPF framework, but it seems that there is no implementation for them? I'm trying to change some "isInput" booleans to enums like "portType"(We have DISTRHO_PLUGIN_NUM_INPUTS and DISTRHO_PLUGIN_NUM_OUTPUTS, so we could have DISTRHO_PLUGIN_NUM_SIDECHAINS maybe... ), but since sidechain ports are definitely input ports, more troubles appears.
Um, I've also tried singleton pattern (shared memory for all instances of one plugin) to get another channel's data, but since plugins only receives float params from the DAW, I can't restore my sidechains after DAW reboots. Oh no.
Once a sidechain plugin is done, a "sidechain" button or comboBox should be shown in AU or ableton like this:

There must be a lot of work behind this little button.

sidechain is working as far as I know, you just need to mark the audio ports as such.

Excuse me. I faced up with another sidechain problem.
When using AU format plugins with sidechain, all DAWs never process run() in PluginDSP.cpp. Fortunately, logic pro provides a test with logs, and the error info is as below:

The message is from auRender(), where

DISTRHO_SAFE_ASSERT_UINT_RETURN(ioData->mNumberBuffers == fAudioBufferList->mNumberBuffers,
                                            fAudioBufferList->mNumberBuffers * 10 + ioData->mNumberBuffers, kAudio_ParamError);

I've edited the code to show fAudioBufferList->mNumberBuffers as well as ioData->mNumberBuffers, the original code only shows ioData->mNumberBuffers.
My plugin has 4 input channels (2 of these are sidechain channels) and 2 output channels, and logicPro recognized it "correctly". For comparison, I checked the log for Fabfilter C2, and logic thinks it has only 2 input channels. The implementation of the code appears to have some differences. By the way, ZAM's sidechain plugins also have this problem.

Did I miss some settings? All suggestions will be helpful, thanks!

I can only guess the current implementation is a bit lacking, specially if sidechain ports are in use.

I'm trying clap-wrapper now and all tests of AU Validation Tool passed. But it seems that logic has it's own additional test, it failed and didn't even tell what the bug is. I'll keep trying.

clap-wrapper works perfectly on reaper, Studio One and Ableton Live. Only Logic fails to load it but I no longer want to adapt it.
