Unapproved / Uncleared transactions

In the Latest Month Summary, it would be nice to have a sensor that tells you the number of unapproved and the number of uncleared transactions, and perhaps even the combined amount that matches both conditions if the API exposes that.

For me, the use case would be to run an automation if it goes greater than 0 during a time of the day, so that I can send my phone a push notification (just an example, I know the YNAB app can do that as well).

Hey @GraysonCAdams , really appreciate the suggestions, some great ideas there.
I’m planning to add a few new attributes to the "Latest Month Summary" sensor to make it more useful:

• Unapproved Transactions — counts how many still need approval
• Uncleared Transactions — counts any that haven’t cleared yet
• Overspent Categories — counts categories in the current month that are overspent
• Needs Attention Count — just a quick combined number if any of the above are more than zero

These will all show up as attributes, so you’ll be able to use them in dashboards or automations (like sending yourself a reminder if anything needs checking).

Thanks again for the input, keen to hear if you think anything else would be useful to include alongside that.

Hey! Just wanted to circle back and let you know this is now live in v1.4.0 🎉

The Monthly Summary sensor now includes:

• unapproved_transactions
• uncleared_transactions
• overspent_categories
• needs_attention_count (a quick combined score)

Should be perfect for automations like the one you mentioned!
