What is DeadManPing?

DeadManPing monitors your cron jobs, backups, and scheduled tasks. Your scripts send a ping when they finish successfully. If we don't get a ping, you get an alert. Simple as that.

About This Repository

This repo has working code examples in Bash, Python, and Node.js. They show how to:

• Detect when cron jobs fail silently
• Check if backup files are empty or missing
• Verify exit codes and job status
• Handle edge cases
• Monitor job execution
