Power is critical in this project. With portable devices, sometimes we need to add or remove the battery. Please see https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/451008586/owltac-a1t-endure-flashlight-with-selective-batter two independent power sources. This would allow you to charge one battery first and then the other, or both at the same time.

The second issue is that if there were two charging sets and an additional solar panel on the motherboard, integration would be simpler. The solar panel would probably only be enough to power the screen, but that's still a lot.
Creating a newer and better system similar to the Vaio P with a keyboard is very valuable. Many people are looking for equipment on which they can use cc, mc, ssh, and git. I think many people would even agree to reduce the number of colors or even give up the browser and video, as long as the equipment would work for a week on a single charge.

It's a good suggestion, we are currently planning to have swapable 2xAA LiPo batteries.
We haven't tested yet how long it would last, but the device uses low power STM SoC.
