Cannot proceed with MECM lab: CM01 VM deployment fails despite following setup guide

While following the MECM lab setup guide step‑by‑step, I’m unable to proceed when deploying the CM01 VM. The deployment fails with the error below. I’ve attached two screenshots for reference.

It's most likely because SQL Server failed to install. Can you upload (attachment) a recursive listing of the files on the Hydration Kit ISO, together with the SQL Server Setup log files. They are in the C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\160\Setup Bootstrap\Log

The SQL setup looks good, but did you change anything in the kit? The INI files look updated, as well as some of the scripts.... I may have to take a look at your ISO. Drop me a comment / message on LinkedIn, and I can send an upload link.

Hi @arwidmark ! Thanks for the response.

Yes, those INI changes you’re seeing are expected — I used the kit’s customization script to adjust lab specifics (IP range, domain name, etc.). However, the failure also occurs with the stock, unmodified configuration before running any customization. I’m happy to share my ISO so you can take a look.
