Doesn't Work With React 17

I'm not sure why I'm posting an issue in a dead project; I guess this is just a warning to anyone who comes along. This project requires React 16 explicitly, which means you can't even install it if you are using React 17.

Since the maintainer hasn't even answered an issue here in god knows how long (including the recent issue called "Dead", where someone explicitly asks "Is it dead?" ... and no one answers), and since this library can't be used with modern React, I truly think it's safe to say it's dead ... at least until someone forks it and updates it.

The link to the contribution page which I found in you README is not working, I'm getting a 404 page.

What's not working? Did you try maybe converting them into functional components?
