Is it possible to add a “hide player id/name when in sneak/stealth mode”. It would be nice to have the best of both worlds. Say if someone is running from the cops or just trying to hide, they can go in to a bush, hit/hold tab and hide there tags for a short moment or while just in the sneak/stealth mode.its to easy for players to meta game when your pretty sure a player/cop would have walked right by you if you didnt have a tag on. The reason i dont disable tags all together, is so people can identify other people/players causing issues. “Sneak mode” “stealth mode” not exactly sure what the actual name of the mode is called.

the problem with this idea is that it'd be very difficult/inefficient to sync key presses with other players. For example: if the person was holding tab or whatever key, I'd probably have to send an event to the server, and then the server to all players online (or in the area, which is even more tricky to figure out) to notify that client to hide that specific player's name. Then when they release the key the same would need to happen, only now to re-show the name. Doing this once or twice isn't that bad, but if someone starts spamming the key then that will cause an issue. There's no way for one client to directly know if another player is pressing a key, so I don't think it'd be possible to do this in a reasonable way.

Im vary new at this but could you not trigger an event with

BOOL GET_PED_STEALTH_MOVEMENT(Ped ped);

Returns whether the entity is in stealth mode

In stead of a key press.

Doubt that'd be a reliable check. But it might be an option if it works correctly.
