BenJam's snags and bugs #1

@BenJam

Description

@BenJam

Rather than leave a million issues here I just thought I'd do one single pass:

Functionality

  • When i remove text from the search the list of projects isn't repopulated
  • when i click the 'subscribed for updates' button on my profile page i have to save the state seprately, this is a bit off
  • From the blog it's not easy to get abck to the main funding site
  • When donating we should recommend other projects like those in your cart
  • if website links on colective pages link to a github profile, we should remove it in favour of the github link
  • if the github link or twitter link is null we should remove it
  • do we need to add a cookie/gdpr policy a la gitcoin?
  • add terms of service/privacy poliy to footer

Design polish

  • when logged in the text 'Hi appears, but I think the avatar and dropdown would be fine.
  • When i click the burger menu the fundoss logo moves and the avatar menu drops below the main menu, this is weird
  • on my account page the donations history overlaps with the profile sidebar at ~850px wide
  • Notice of next round on the blog could be more obvious
  • Email share links could have a subject added
  • create a collective link in the footer should proabbly link to https://opencollective.com/ rather that directly into the create flow
  • sort by on home page — 'funding' qualifier floats incorrectly above 990px wide
  • MM/YY CC info wanders when resizing browser in cart checkout
  • On the index page the social shared can show. weird line break
  • On the index page recommended project, the break after the donation amounts closes up to the next line. The 'read more' link can also suffer from a weird line break.

Design ideas

  • The view on Donations History is a little lo-fi. A logo for the project(s) I've supported could be great
  • There's a 'fundoss collective' link in the 'platform' section of the footer, but I'm not sure why. Maybe this should be more to capture future match funders? if so let's say that.
  • on collective pages we could link through to contributos and the projects they've supported
