Hi Everyone,
I tried to model the effect of negative emission from BECCS into the electricity system. There are two model that I made.
the first model follows these steps :
fuel.csvretrofitresources for the biomass inthermal.csvCO2_Capture_Fraction,CO2_Capture_Fraction_Startup, andCCS_Disposal_Cost_per_Metric_Toncolumn inretrofitresourcesthe second model follows these steps:
fuel.csvretrofitresources for the biomass inthermal.csvwithoutCO2_Capture_FractionandCO2_Capture_Fraction_Startup(CO2_prices_and_penalties.csvoutput are not created even if I add theCCS_Disposal_Cost_per_Metric_Ton)However, I found it interesting that the negative emission contributed by the plants in the first model are smaller compared to the second model, my guess is the negative emission on the first model goes into the
Captured emissionoutput. Which one is correct? or am I modelling the whole BECCS wrong?Emission contribution output in the first model
Emission contribution output in the second model
Captured emission output in the first model
thank you
