Save Global Settings / Sessions

I would like to make a feature suggestion....

I find it very tedious to have to go back into the settings and re-set all my previous setting changes every time I load a game.

Its my understanding that the current settings is just per session.

My suggestion is, maybe have a checkbox where a user can decide if they want to save Global (persistence) or to just use as a session setting (no save).

This way players who prefer to just keep the settings save persistently can, and others who like it the way it is now can.
