having trouble installing in Ubuntu 16.04

Development for this project has moved to https://github.com/GenomicsDB/GenomicsDB, it is not being maintained here anymore. That said, take a look at https://github.com/GenomicsDB/GenomicsDB/blob/master/.travis.yml, it is using ubuntu/trusty for building and testing GenomicsDB.
