ICM was ‘suddenly’ working on Brave when I started my PC this morning, I’m happy to say. Brave had an update; its version is now: Brave is up to date ICM is still not working for me on Edge, whose version has remained the same. But I seldom use Edge. |

I checked on Edge again (6 hours later), and ICM is now working there as well. Edge still shows the same version that I posted, above. It appears the problem is over. |

About five days ago, the Internet Connection Monitor Extension suddenly stopped working on my Brave browser, after a couple years of working fine. The icon still appears at top (where I have it pinned), but it just perpetually shows the Online checkmark and when clicked on, the Latency just perpetually shows a dash. This, despite the fact that my Hughesnet satellite ISP has dozens of disconnections each day, with Availability typically around 95%. The Online indication remains even when I set Airplane mode on the PC.
For the statistics, see the screenshot. The only thing that still works is the IP address (which I erased).

My Operating System: Windows 11 Home PC. Version: 24H2. OS Build: 26100.7623
Brave is up to date
Brave 1.86.139 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Chromium: 144.0.7559.59
I've tried re-starting the pc, restarting Brave, and opening a private window. I tried removing and re-adding the extension.
To troubleshoot, I tried adding ICM to fellow Chromium-based browsers Chrome, Opera, and Edge.
I found that ICM works normally on Chrome and Opera.
Chrome is up to date
Version 144.0.7559.60 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Opera is up to date
Chromium version:141.0.7390.125
While on Edge, ICM has essentially same failure as on Brave, though "Online for" is counting up (Brave was also showing this initially when it broke), and Downtime shows a zero instead of a dash.

Microsoft Edge is up to date.
Version 144.0.3719.82 (Official build) (64-bit)
