Thank you for creating the tutorial, this was really helpful and a good read through.
I saw that my drives already where on firmware EDB7602Q so no need to update however I was able to change the sector size to 4K which is more suitable in my use case.

However these drives run really hot but thankfully the ASUS Hyper Card Gen2 is able to keep them cool even under heavy file transfers without active cooling.
Sadly enough they use a lot of power but that was expected since these are Enterprise grade drives.

That's no problem. I do not know much about the history of these drives other than I purchased them from a seller on ebay shipping from guangzhou. just for fun, I tried to write the EDB variant using fw-commit, and it would not allow me to write the EDB variant.
