Restone control for snad?

Is it possible to manage SNAD via Redstone? It seems to run constantly (or intermittently, as growth stops at some point). I'd like to be able to manage it via Redstone. Or at least have some other way to stop/start it.

why do you want to turn it off?

I want to use it to automate the growth of cacti for biomass (which I use to make biofuel and ethylene). If the storage suddenly becomes full, a lot of blocks will fall into the game world, but I'd like to control its operation with redstone and turn it on and off as needed.

use pistons to pull away the blocks you have in place for breaking the cacti

or use a storage where you can put a void upgrade in so any excess is just voided
