Downward reserve requirement

Dear MATPOWER Support Team,

I'd like to run a Unit Commitment - DC Optimal Power Flow problem and i need to include reserves in both directions (upward & downward). As far as my knowledge, after reading the user's manual, i realised that only the upward reserve direction is included. Am i right? Is there a way to extend this to the downward direction too and define fixed reserve requirements for both directions?

I'm afraid the fixed reserve requirement implementation is for upward reserves only. The second approach to security described in Section 3.2 of the MOST manual does separate upward and downward reserves, but it is a rather different formulation than the standard fixed reserves most people are familiar with.
