  • Design validation
    • Manually design 2 kitchen layouts with varied complexity (tiled map editor)
    • Create 2 new recipe dependency graphs (networkx)
      • Human play test: verify task difficulty
      • Outcome: 2 layouts playable
      • Rollback trigger: If layouts feel trivial or unsolvable, revisit generation constraints
  • Implement layout generation algorithms for kitchen configurations (counters, appliances, delivery zones)
  • Create goal path dependency graph generator with complexity scaling (e.g. 2-4 ingredient chains)
  • Develop novel game mechanic injection (environmental hazards, tool failures, time constraints)

Expected outcome: Generate a few unique layouts
