Basic Connectors are always set to North and behave like they are facing north

Easiest to reproduce with a furnace with 3 connectors on top, side and bottom. When added to a channel the direction of a basic connector is always shown as north (greyed out) and behaves like this. In the configuration shown, if items are inserted through the top connector on the furnace they end up in the fuel slot of the furnace.

Advanced connectors are also defaulting to North but if manually set to the correct direction, they use the correct side.
