Where do we host the node?

This might be a newb question. Where do we host the node? Do we run it locally and let the indexer on Azure sync up to it and then turn it off is that how it works?

I run the bitcoin node on the same machine as the indexer keeping them both on. (first wait the node is fully sync)
to be honest, I advise you https://github.com/dgarage/NBXplorer/ rather than qbit ninja, as it does not requires azure and does not need to sync from genesis and work on pruned mode.
