Description
Mintbase Grant Application
- Project Name
SNS: Signed & Sealed — The Story Layer & Community Tools for Emotional Digital Keepsakes
- Project Overview
SNS (Signed & Sealed) is a creative gifting platform where users design greeting cards, preserve messages, and mint them as permanent NEAR NFTs. The NEAR layer funds the Story + Permanence + Community system: on-chain metadata, template provenance, comments/ratings, creator profiles, and decentralized storage via IPFS/Arweave.
The result is a social NFT experience centered around emotional meaning, creator attribution, and digital permanence.
- Problem Statement
Most NFT use-cases are speculative and fail to deliver emotional or social value. Creators lack tools to publish meaningful, interactive NFT-based experiences. Users have no way to preserve personal messages, stories, or sentiments permanently on-chain.
SNS uses NEAR to solve this by turning everyday creativity (cards, notes, stories, templates) into meaningful, permanent digital keepsakes backed by social interaction and creator attribution.
- Why NEAR / Why Mintbase
NEAR offers simple onboarding, low fees, and fast transactions suitable for social NFT interactions.
Mintbase provides the ideal infrastructure for minting, metadata schema, and indexing.
SNS will use Mintbase’s SDK, API, and Indexer to power:
On-chain story metadata
Template provenance
Creator profile data
NFT-based comments & ratings system
Social interactions around digital keepsakes
SNS strengthens NEAR by onboarding non-crypto users through an emotional, creator-driven experience.
- Detailed Project Description
The NEAR-funded module of SNS focuses on:
A. Permanent Story Layer
Store greeting card front + inside message metadata
IPFS/Arweave integration for permanent media
NFT-bound “story container” metadata
B. Creator Template Provenance
Every template minted as a NEAR NFT
Metadata includes creator info, usage count, and attribution
Enables creators to prove authorship with on-chain records
C. Community Interaction Layer
Comments anchored to NFT objects
Template ratings + feedback system
Social activity feed based on on-chain events
Creator profiles displaying templates, uses, and engagement
D. Mintbase SDK Integration
Minting templates and cards
Pulling on-chain metadata
Indexer-driven activity feeds
Schema-driven metadata for stories, comments, and ratings
