Diretta is a high-end audio communication protocol which bypasses the OS layers.
Diretta has published an SDK which allows end-users interested to build their own interface.
I have developed an output plugin for Diretta. I am publishing it in accordance with GPL-2.0 licence requirements.

Your code uses the non-free Diretta SDK, which is incompatible with the GPL. It is legally not possible to use your code under the conditions of the GPL, and linking your code with MPD is a copyright violation. Please don't.

Yes, I'd prefer that. As much as I like MPD code contributions, but code that cannot legally be used should better not be published.
