Okay, here it is, the long-awaited Jojo's Bizarre Adventure review. After the constant demands of my friends to watch Jojo, I finally did and I have to say, I have mixed feelings.
The first season had a great overall story and pretty good pacing. Though I will admit that there was certainly very little spice, and I agree with the people of that opinion, but that never caused me to feel bored watching it, as I feel like there were still enough interesting elements and characters to the story to be drawn to it. The first few episodes with jonathan were cool, the continuation with dio was pretty expected but that's fine honestly, as I don't expect the first season to contain any sort of surprising element to it, and I love the idea that the story's place and time varies widely (e.g. for time: after I think the 3rd episode we jump a long portion of time to where jonathan and dio are adults, in season 2 we jump a whole generation, with the protagonist now being jonathan's kid, Joseph Joestar).
What ruins it all for me is when the pacing becomes horrid, which is exactly what happens in season 2...
This was also starting to show on the last few episodes of season 1: Things gettings dragged out for way too long, to the point where it's a nuisance to keep watching. While the story was getting even more interesting on the first few eps, things just took a turn for the worse and the pacing got destroyed for no reason, leading to the story being impacted as well, because now they're allocating all this time for stupid filler moment when that time could have been spent on actual quality-time story and character development.
So I stopped at season 2, ep 5 or something.
Yeah, so that was the review, overall from what taste I got (and I got a portion of it at least), I would give it an honorable 9.5/10 for season 1 and 3/10 for season 2.
