Stormspeed branch has interpolated output error?

What happened?

On a fresh clone of the stormspeed branch as of last week, interpolate_output=.true. produces output with wrong magnitude, where the faces of the cube are pretty visible.

What are the steps to reproduce the bug?

Clone a fresh copy of StormSPEED, checkout the stormspeed branch, then create and run a FADIAB baroclinic wave test on the ne30pg3_ne30pg3 grid with interpolate_output = .true..

What CAM tag were you using?

stormspeed

What machine were you running CAM on?

CISL machine (e.g. cheyenne)

What compiler were you using?

Intel

A quick ncview visualization shows that this appears both in vector and scalar outputs. The pattern appears virtually identical at all model levels.

@OkayHughes Thanks for catching this. Nick mentioned that you might also have a fix for the issue or was he starting wild rumors? I thought this was working in an earlier branch.
