Sorry for answering late, i've been on holydays,,, Which branch are you using?,, Currently i'm only developing the async branch, i'm having a little problem in thinking how to connect actions (clicks, etc) using libuv,, My little knowledge of this library is the bottle neck.. If you want to help, i could give you further details of the problem.. I'm planning to update the readme but didn't have time to do so..

Ah I didn't notice an async branch. I'm actually working on something of my own using QT (https://github.com/wearefractal/pane) which led me to this. I'm also having issues merging the QT event loop with the libuv event loop. I'll let you know if I figure anything out

Okey, i'll briefly explain how i thought the async branch. I've found serious problems in implementing in an async way the App.exec, (you can look the "async" branch). To be short, the issue is that thorght libuv Qt is executed in the thread pool, in order to communicate with it (to create widgets, etc), i've used a loop insted of using the regular app exec. Currently this is done throught the use of while true, if (App->hasPendingevents) app->processevents and checking if the queue of functions pointers isn't empty. Then in the main thread if i want to create a widget I pull the function that creates the widget to the queue, so the thread that has qt running executes it. ( A better implementation would be the use of the Qt QAbstractEventDispatcher, i'll have to do a further research of that).

The main problem of this implementation is connection of qt signals,, I can't manage to figure out a way of connecting a node function (e.g.: a callback that you pass an argument in javascript) with a qt signal (or event, e.g.: a click in a button). You can't execute the cb functions in the thread pool, so, this is a big problem.

I've been reading about libuv and it seems that it is possible to make a timer for a signal or something of the sort. The idea is to emit the signal in the qt thead and libuv to run the javascript callback (in the main node thread) when the signal is emited.
Actually, the code of the async branch can create windows in a non blocking way, but nothing more...
