Summary
This feature request proposes the addition of global keyboard shortcuts to quickly search and paste stored passwords. The goal is to significantly improve user efficiency and streamline the password retrieval process.
Motivation
Currently, users must open the password manager UI, search for an entry manually, and then copy-paste credentials into their target application or website. This process can be repetitive and slow, especially for power users or developers who need frequent access to credentials.
By enabling global hotkeys, users can:
• Instantly trigger a search popup from anywhere in the system using a customizable shortcut (e.g. Ctrl+Shift+P).
• Paste a selected password or username directly into the active window (with security confirmations if needed).
• Reduce the need to switch context between apps.
This would bring the UX closer to tools like 1Password or Raycast, enhancing productivity and convenience.
