Cleanup - minor cleanup to support plugin integration

I did some work on plugins and found some minor issues that need cleaned up, including:

• opening a database DMI connection needs to handle unknown database engine
• TSIdent.matches needs to escape patterns that include parentheses, which were found in some data
• TSUtil_ChangeInterval needs to handle the Count statistic
