Cannot build on Debian 9.0

When I run the following the build incantation;
cmake -DCMAKE_PREFIX_PATH=/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt5/mkspecs/features/data/cmake .. && make

I get this result;

CMake Warning at cmake/QMLCppAPIConfig.cmake:2 (find_package):
  By not providing "FindQt5Widgets.cmake" in CMAKE_MODULE_PATH this project
  has asked CMake to find a package configuration file provided by
  "Qt5Widgets", but CMake did not find one.

Looks like I'm missing dependencies. Should I install this package after I install QFace and its dependencies?

I think you're using the wrong path to the folder where Qt puts it's cmake files. When I use a Qt version I've built myself those files are in e.g. /opt/qt-5.8.0/lib/cmake/, and it looks like Debians qtbase5-dev puts them under e.g. /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/cmake/ (depending on your arch).

The path mentioned in README.md is usually valid when Qt has been installed using the installers from qt.io.

My path is exactly as Erik noted, so I used;
cmake -DCMAKE_PREFIX_PATH=/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/cmake/ .. && make
But this produced this error;

CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:3 (cmake_minimum_required):
  CMake 3.1 or higher is required.  You are running version 3.0.2

I'll send a patch to update the docs. I will also try to build on Debian Sid which has newer every thing.

After a fresh Debian 9.0 install with latest Cmake and Qtbase5-dev I get this error;

Here are the packages to install on Ubuntu 17.04, in order to build:
cmake qtdeclarative5-dev python3-click python3-path qml-module-qtquick-controls python3-pip

Since antlr4 does not seem to be available as a ubuntu package, you need to install it using pip :
$ pip3 install antlr4-python3-runtime

Does that solve your build issue ?
If yes, I will add that information to the README.
