How to correctly instance VCAP variables?

I followed the usage steps, but in my terminal I have a message like:

No VCAP_SERVICES found in ENV, using defaults for local development

Maybe the documentation is outdated and is necessary a extra step for connect the library with the bluemix instance?

Hi Kikobeats!

That may be the case since when we created this, all of the services from IBM were still in Beta. However, I just clicked on our example app (http://personify.mybluemix.net/#/) which is running on the original code and everything still seems to be working fine. Unfortunately, the other two creators of Personify and I only are able to work on this when we have any spare time, which is slim nowadays. I'll see if I can look into this further over the next week. Sorry I couldn't be very helpful at the moment!
