MTU is ignored

After some problems with MQTT I found out, that the problem is the MTU, wich is ignored. Setting HA MTU to 1500 works fine. But I am using real Hybrid from Telekom wich needs a MTU lower than 1400. Please make OTthing recognize MTU from DHCp and make it possible for static IP. Thanks

I don't see in the WiFi.h a function to resize the MTU size on the WiFi settings.
But usually only internet connection in the router that have a MTU size reduced, not the other internal connections.
@dietzi are you sure? So also your mobile devices work at lower MTU size?

@Phunkafizer check if you have some way to manage the "DHCP Option 26" its related the MTU size.

esp_wifi.h
esp_netif.h <- in this one could be a function or a way to resize the MTU

I mean:
