Cannot edit channel list with ChanSort for 2024 Hisense U7NQ TV

It seems that I can export the TV channel list from my TV but ChaSort can't edit it. The program it shows me the following message: "This is a predefined list and cannot be edited." I cannot upload the file because is not supported. The extension is ".db", intead I uploaded a snip showing the message from ChanSort.

Hi Bogdan!

When you set up your TV, you selected a specific provider (probably your cable TV provider). This results in a list that uses the provider's predefined numbers and prevents them from being edited. Hisense developers told me explicitly that such "LCN"-based lists must not be edited.

You need to run a new channel search, do NOT select any specific provider (even if your provider is listed) and run a full or network search instead. Then you should get a list without LCN that can be edited.

I didn't select any provider when scanning for channels, I selected the "standard" feature before scanning. My provider was listed there but I didn't select it. I will try this later, when I'm home.

Thanks for the clarification. I'm not really familiar with the exact options this TV series shows during the channel setup.
You can try and use the "Settings / Allow editing predefined lists" option in ChanSort to override the read-only mode.
But I don't know what the TV will do with the list.

It might depend on another TV setting (something like "Automatic channel list update") whether the TV resets the numbers. It might happen immediately, or when you tune in the channel (or any other on the same frequency) or when in stand-by or when the cable TV provider pushes out a new version of the DVB "Network Information Table".
Some TVs won't change numbers when this option is disabled, other will do it regardless.
Hence the recommendation to use lists without predefined "logical channel numbers" (LCN) assigned by a provider (Cable-TV) or through the firmware (e.g. Astra 19.2E satellite)
