Define Software Developers in Test scope, rights and duties

Following @boubkerbribri application as maintainer, there is a page about Software Developers in Test in the maintainer guide

It defines:

Software Developers in Test provide technical vision, review contribution and write automated tests, which help accelerate the testing process.

This is not defined enough.

In order to complete Boubker's definition of his role in the project we need

• To define the rights and duties of Software Developers in Test about the `tests/UI' (see link) folder on the Core repository
• To define the maintainer rights on https://github.com/PrestaShopCorp/modules-testing-library if it was transferred to PrestaShop organization

Why not have him as a scoped maintainer instead?

Formally speaking, I can't see the difference. The way I see it, SDIT who are not maintainers (ie. don't have decision-making and merge rights) are simple contributors.

Pablo's idea is not to mix "maintainer rights" with software testers role. So in order to clarify your merge rights you would take 2 roles.

As discussed with @matks before, that will resolve my problem only, not the global one. So I think that my application could wait for more global solution to rethink:

• The scope for all roles (Dev, ST, SDIT, PM ...)
• New github rights...

Any news on that ? It will be one year since the issue to become maintainer and one-year ago that this was supposed to be on the table once the Boubker's application is solved.
