1x and 2x scaling up questions

Thanks for the excellent work.

The results for 4x upscaling are all very good. The results for 2x upscaling are also generally excellent, although there might be some issues with the 1x upscaling results in some cases.

input resolution: 743 * 1024, Defalut Prompt. ori, 1x and 2x input resolution: 400 * 299, Defalut Prompt.

I have two questions:

1. Is the unstable performance of the 1x scaling due to the fact that this scaling ratio wasn't included in the training data?
2. What factors affect the effectiveness of text super-resolution? I've noticed that 2x upscaling doesn't produce the same text quality as 4x upscaling. （I've found that if the text area is relatively large or the text is quite clear, there isn't much difference between the 2x and 4x magnification effects.）
