[Bug] Custom serial device do not wait delay

Describe the bug

My serial device, an esp32, in some computers reboot in connection, in others reboot in disconnection, despite RTS and DTR enabled in both, and I do not know why.

When reboot of device happens in connection, it causes the microcontroller to miss the connection message that I set before.

This could be easily resolved if the starting message would be sent after the delay just before the update messages.

• I have disabled all third-party plugins.

Steps to reproduce

1. Acrivate Custom Serial Device Plugin and open it
2. Set a delay
3. Enable the connection
4. Only update messages are affected and not the start messages

Expected behavior

Starting message is sent after the delay just before the update messages.
