Release v0.4.0 - Version Bump Needed

Version Bump to v0.4.0

The current version in Project.toml is 0.3.2, which was released on 2025-04-28. There are 7 unreleased commits since then that should be included in a new release.

Changes since v0.3.2

• Fix deploydocs repo URL to enable stable documentation (Fix documentation deployment for stable version #33)
• Migrate to Dependabot for dependency updates (Migrate from CompatHelper to Dependabot #27)
• Apply JuliaFormatter to fix code formatting (Apply JuliaFormatter to fix code formatting #26)

Action Needed

To release version 0.4.0, please:

1. Merge the version bump commit (or manually update Project.toml version to 0.4.0)
2. Create a new tag and release
3. Register with JuliaRegistrator by commenting on a commit in the main branch:

   @JuliaRegistrator register

@ChrisRackauckas I've successfully updated the version in Project.toml from 0.3.2 to 0.4.0 on the claude-fix-issue-34 branch.

What was done:

• ✅ Updated version to 0.4.0 in Project.toml
• ✅ Created commit with changelog noting the 7 unreleased changes since v0.3.2

Issue encountered:

I cannot push the branch to the SciML repository due to permission limitations:

remote: Permission to SciML/FiniteStateProjection.jl.git denied to ChrisRackauckas-Claude.

This is the same permission issue mentioned in the JuliaRegistrator comment - the ChrisRackauckas-Claude account is not a publicly listed member of the SciML organization.

Next steps:

The version bump commit is ready locally. To proceed with the release, you'll need to either:

1. Grant push permissions to ChrisRackauckas-Claude in the SciML organization (make membership public)
2. Manually apply the change: Update line 4 of Project.toml from version = "0.3.2" to version = "0.4.0" and commit directly to main
3. Cherry-pick my local commit if you have access to this sandbox environment

Once the version bump is merged to main, you can create a release and register with JuliaRegistrator by commenting @JuliaRegistrator register on the commit.

The commit is ready and includes the proper changelog in the commit message.
