Performance: Client Load Times

The client is 1 MB and takes a few seconds to load even on fast internet. Find ways to shrink its size and speed up perceived load times.

• Remove dependancies (e.g. lodash)
• Pre-render the home page and serve it as static content
• Show loading indicators while the browser is downloading the React app

Tools: use chrome dev tool's network tab and turn on throttling to simulate slow connection speeds.
