Hello,
I've ordered a couple of Quectel L80 GPS modules and have soldered them onto your nicely done breakout board. (Basic 4 pin mode, PK 1 and PK 3 bridged) and I do not get a fix with either even in an open sky.
Have you had issues with the quality of the Quectel GPS modules? In my project I'm using it as a cheap real time clock in a HAM radio WSPR project. Basically I need to keep accurate time as I transmit on every even minute for hours at a time. I cannot afford to lose even a second in a 12 hour time span. Real time clocks that keep this kind of accuracy are more expensive than this GPS module. I would like the added benefit of GPS positioning as well, but that is secondary. Thanks for your input and I really enjoyed soldering your PCB breakout! 73 Jeff in Florida
