When starting a level or respawning at a checkpoint, what if instead of flying in, walking or falling, you can begin a stage coming out of a pipe(like in the prologue), doing a high jump out of a hole(similar to ? coin unused behavior), ground pounding in from above, long jumping in from offscreen, and more. Maybe it can be done with an object such that when activated, it puts Mario into one of various states like pipe exit, ground pounding, etc.
