By default, CE only respects Worldguard protections via explicit call. By triggering a BlockExplodeEvent with the pending blocks, and dropping only the resultant blocks afterward, CE would be respectful of all protection plugins, including Grief Prevention, various Skyblocks, Towny, and Factions.
